Your essay will be evaluated for the quality of your writing and your ability to provide a focused response to the question you choose. Your response should demonstrate intellectual curiosity and academic rigor, and should be thoughtful, well-organized, and free of grammatical and spelling errors. Please limit your response to 500 words, include your name and Eastern ID at the top of the document, and upload as a PDF file within the application.
Tell us about a time when you encountered something that was more interesting than you expected it to be. How did you pursue it? To what kind of knowledge or perspective did it lead you? How did this experience prepare you for honors program courses and research?
Describe an experience that challenged you to think differently. How did you evaluate the new perspective and integrate it into your own way of thinking? How did this experience prepare you for intellectual challenges at the university?
