Admissions Advice

Only applying to UC schools only and tips
Answered

I am currently a junior with a unweighted 2.9 GPA and a weighted 3 GPA and I did pretty bad during my sophomore year however I would say that I have improved during my junior year, I calculated my gpa using the UC calculator and it says I will have a 3.2 GPA after this semester is finished and if I keep it up, I will have around a 3.4 or a 3.5 GPA with some extracurriculars and so I am wondering if there's any tips for me to get into the more better UC schools such as UC Davis, Uc Irvine, UC SB, or UC SD as I have seen my chances of getting into those schools are quite low and if I should choose a less impactful major to get accepted into those schools or if I should take community college and then transfer instead however I don't mind going to UC Riverside or UC Santa Cruz but I would also prefer going to the schools I mentioned before.

Definitely don't count out transferring. I got a tip from a relative who's a supervising counselor for an entire school district and she said that if you apply and get into Merced or Riverside, you could transfer to the other ones after one semester if you have a 2.0 or higher GPA. Community college would be the best choice to transfer but if you want to get on a UC campus Merced or riverside. You got this! Good luck!
